"a national choir celebrating and promoting Canadian music and musicians"

For information on the Canadian Chamber Choir's Choral Collaboration workshop program, please download this brochure (pdf).
The CCC is a dynamic group of dedicated singers with diverse professional backgrounds. Our singers work in the fields of choral conducting, music education, vocal pedagogy, linguistics, world music, music theatre, arts administration, music psychology, and speech-language pathology. This allows the group to offer a unique and varied blend of educational opportunities.
A "piece of the CCC" - Quartets! and The CCC Study Guide, Ongoing
The Quartet Program was designed to link the Canadian Chamber Choir with all Canadian communities. It is often not possible to have the entire choir in your region at a specific time, so why not get the next best option - a "slice of the choir" represented in an SATB quartet? The Canadian Chamber Choir quartets are made up of members of the choir who are professional singers, conductors, music educators and experts in many musical areas. Quartets will come to your school to perform and/or workshop pieces with your choir/vocal music class. Please contact us for more information on how this program can be adapted to fit your musical needs.
The Canadian Chamber Choir interactive Study Guide has been specifically designed for intermediate and secondary school students but can be adapted to fit the elementary curriculum needs. The Study Guide is offered free of charge and can be well used in combination with the visiting CCC quartet program. The Canadian Chamber Choir Study Guide will be posted on this website in the spring of 2005.
Use the CCC's quartets and Study Guide to cultivate your student's interest in vocal music!

Applications accepted year-round.
The Conducting Fellow Program provides intensive exposure to conducting a professional ensemble. A successful applicant will join the Canadian Chamber Choir for an entire project. The Conducting Fellow will have the opportunity to conduct the CCC in both rehearsal and performance. They will gain valuable experience learning, preparing, and rehearsing demanding repertoire with the option of feedback from the ensemble and the Music Director. Utilize this rare opportunity to communicate your own musical ideas to an exceptional ensemble.
Objectives:
Ongoing
The CCC will work with University choirs, composers and/or conducting students. Young composers can hear their own compositions performed by the CCC. Choirs can be joined by the CCC in a workshop on their own repertoire. Conducting students can study the finer points of choral conducting in seminar or demonstration format or by conducting the CCC in a masterclass. Reap the benefits of a close collaboration with a professional ensemble, usually only experienced by University programs in large geographical centers.
Objectives:
Ongoing
The CCC will join your Community or Church Choir or your Choral Festival for an extended period of one or more days, providing a tailor-made program of mentoring, specialized workshops, demonstrations, and joint performance on your own repertoire. Possible areas of interest may include vocal warm-ups, sectionals, full rehearsals, private vocal coaching, foreign languages, and vocal health. All sessions will be led by Artistic Director Julia Davids and the singers of the CCC. Experience the artistry you can attain when the CCC and your ensemble cooperate!
